Essay

In this thesis for the first time features of perception of the church were considered based on systematic and analytical approach to the UOC, considering process of mediatization of religion, media-system dependency and development of the information society. This thesis reveals that features of UOC perceptions in secular media and society as a whole are directly related to the dynamics of socio-political life and the socio-political mood of the country because the fact that the church belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate is the key when considering the organization. This uniqueness of perception of the UOC at different stages of formation of state policy and political moods of citizens of Ukraine and the process of mediatization of society and religion especially, contributed to the formation of information support of the church, which actually forms its own information space and is able being closed from external public mood and actions. It was analysed that information activities of the UOC - its resources and potential impact on the believers through religious media, that have been classified on a territorial basis (in accordance with the diocese, that deals with its release), on the status of these projects (formal-informal), on target audience, that project was basically facing on (children, youth, older generation) and on type (print media (newspapers, magazines, calendars) and audiovisual projects (radio broadcast, TV project, Youtube video channel, website)).
