Essay

Object of research - the processes of growth and physiological development of bull-calves of Ukrainian Black-and-white milk breed, accumulation of radioactive cesium and heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn) in fodders and products of slaughter under the polytypic rations and different silages in the Third Zone of radioactive contamination. Aim - to make experimental research and to prove radiological appropriateness of polytypic rations usage with supplements of different silages for fattening of bull-calves in the Third Zone of radioactive contamination with idea of production of ecologically safety beef considering concentration of radioactive cesium and HM in the area. Methods of research: zootechnical, physiological, chemical, radiological, biochemical, hematological, economical, method of mathematic statistics. Results: First-studied complex concentration of radioactive cesium and HM in a chain of "plant (food) - animal - beef" under the polytypic rations and different silages (corn silage and four-component grass-legume silage - field pea+oat+tare+ triticale) in bull-calves fattening. The digestibility of feed nutrients, balances of N, Ca, P, radioactive cesium and HM in organisms of fattening bull-calves, and ecological quality of beef have been researched. The chemical composition and sustenance of corn silage and four-component grass-legume silage have been determined. The radioecological and economical assessment of rationality of usage of polytypic rations and 4-component grass-legume silage made of summer grain-and-forage crops instead of corn silage for fattening of bull-calves under conditions of Polissya Region of Ukraine have been determined. Level of implementation: The State Researching Enterprise "Nova Peremoga" of Institute of Agriculture of NA AS of Ukraine, "Vega Agro" LLC of Brusyliv district, Zhytomyr region, Zhytomyr National University of Agriculture and Ecology. Region - agriculture, ecology.
