Essay

It was suggested for the manufacture of porous cermet materials the use, as a cheap source material, forging and stamping production wastes from JSC "Kovelsilmash" - powders of scale from steel 18Х2Н4МА and natural mineral - saponite - taken from Tashkivsk deposit in combination with SHS process of their synthesis. It was investigated the dispersion of scale from steel 18Х2Н4МА depending on the time of grinding. It was defined optimal modes for grinding of scale in accordance with technical specifications of input material. It was developed advanced technology of producing porous cermet material. The technology provide pressing of products at low pressures 25MPa and sintering using self-continues high-temperature synthesis at 1923 K. It was grounded that physical and mechanical properties of obtained ceramic products are determined by the ratio of phase components, size and density distribution of pores, their shape and location. Resulting samples have sufficient strength, porosity of 15-20% and filtration properties. Thus, obtained materials are characterized by low cost and good physical and mechanical properties, which give reason to use in filtering of technical liquids.
