This PhD work is devoted to development of the methods to predict and control a behavior of layered composites with a face layer made of hard ceramic, shock-absorbing layer (Al foam) and common backing layers. These methods are based on discrete and continuum theories of porous and damaged materials and implemented into computer programs which allowed a direct computational experiment. The obtained results showed: - Appearance of shock waves in porous materials is facilitated by kinematic restrictions on a flow in the direction of impact loading; in particular they always exist in the absence of radial component of strain rate; in conditions close to a free shrinkage, shock waves exist only for big values of porosity. - Dynamic response of a composite layer made of Al foam spherical granules depends on initial porosity of granules and friction condition among those granules; technologically by changing the values of these parameters one may optimize impact resistance characteristics of protective constructions in the whole; - Presence of pores in material's structure brings not only to formation of inhomogeneous field of stresses but causes oscillations of stresses in a time; in a front of a wave of volumetric compression, the oscillations appear as a result of relaxation of shear stresses stipulated by the development of inelastic deformation and growth of damages in ceramic layer
