Theoretically grounded and developed proposals for the development and implementation of the strategy of innovation development of national agriculture. The essence of the concepts of "governance innovation", "innovation management in agriculture." Overview and systematized foreign experience of state regulation of innovation in agriculture and identifies the possibility of its use in Ukraine. Tendencies change components of the innovation potential of agriculture of Ukraine, which resulted in reducing its proven scientific component, a slight improvement of logistics; opposing trends in staffing component, failure to go to the development of innovative financial component, which is in crisis diminish. Grounded theoretical and methodological foundations for the development strategy of innovation development of AIC on the basis of a system of integrated indicators reflecting the state of formation of innovative capacity at all levels.
