The dissertation is devoted to theoretical and methodological lays grounding and develop of practical recommendations for the management of engineering companies' investment activities. The categories-conceptual apparatus of the theory of investment activity of industrial enterprises has got the further development. The main characteristics, types and methods of investment activity considered, the system of investment activity of engineering enterprise allowing for the interconnection and interaction of its basic elements which aimed at scientific and technological support enterprise development has built. The mechanism of management of engineering company's investment activity has built. This mechanism is based on: a system of management of engineering company's investment activity; a comprehensive system of strategic goals of the enterprise; investment policy, where a dominant position holds technological component; comprehensive assessment of the level of investment activity; multicriterion model of making management decisions, a comprehensive method of investment activity. A comprehensive assessment of engineering enterprise's investment activity proposed with using an expert assessments and metrics in terms of three components: management, production, financial and economic.
