Essay

Object - opportunistic microorganisms isolated from patients who were treated at the department of anesthesiology and intensive care and patients in pulmonary department; goal - improving the effectiveness of methods of forecasting, control and prevention of healthcare associated infections in the intensive care unit (ICU) on the basis of the study of the biological properties (antibiotic susceptibility, adhesiveness) of studied isolates and conducted microbiological monitoring; methods – microbiological, statistics; results –taking into account the modern approaches to microbiological monitoring at the regional level, a comprehensive analysis of the species composition of pathogenic microflora isolated from patients in a single intensive care unit was carried out for the first time; there were tracked changes in the spectrum of microorganisms in the dynamics of the studied years; a comparative analysis of selected opportunistic strains in the ICU and pulmonary department was carried out in order to study the effect of the severity of the patients in the form of microbial landscape; the dynamics of resistance of microorganisms to antibiotics was tracked; there was shown current differences in levels of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms isolated in intensive care and pulmonology department; there were supplemented scientific data of the impact of antibiotic susceptibility of clinical isolates of microorganisms on their adhesive properties; branch – medicine.
