The object - the process of evaluating the attractiveness and select target market segments; the purpose - improving the scientific and methodological approaches to the assessment of the attractiveness and the choice of target segments of the market as a component of the strategic planning tools restructuring of industrial enterprises; the methods - analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization and analogies, economic and mathematical statistics (regression and cluster analysis methods for non-metric multidimensional scaling), systems analysis (expert evaluations and rankings); the new approach - the first time theoretically proved the feasibility and proposed multilevel hierarchical approach to quantify the attractiveness of the markets of industrial products, which is based on a hierarchical model of market attractiveness and iterative adaptive estimation procedure with consistent detail assessments in directions which are determined by the course evaluation; the results - the methodical approach to multilevel quantify the attractiveness of market segments, which is based on the use of non-metric multidimensional scaling methods; implemented in - at engineering enterprises of Ukraine, particularly, at LLC "Railtransholding"; the field of use - economy and enterprises management (according to the types of economic activity).
