Babiychuk S. The didactic conditions of application of geographic information systems in the upper school research work

The thesis gives insight into the didactic environment for the geoinformation system (GIS) conditions in the upper school research work. It elucidates teaching and geoinformation concepts used in the paper and defines such concepts as "GIS in senior pupil's research" and "geoinformation competence". Analyzed experience of application of GIS in school education of Ukraine and foreignness countries. Upper school research work with the geoinformation systems was used envisages the employment of the didactic conditions ingredients such as motivation to apply GIS in research activity of senior pupils; application of GIS as instrument of realization of intersubject connections of geography, history and ecology; the use of didactics materials for students and methodical materials for teachers. Сreatе the functional didactic model using geographic information systems in the upper school research work, based on activity, personality and competence approaches. Indexes of efficiency of application GIS in research activity there is participating these works in the All-Ukrainian Research Paper Defense Competition among MAcS Students-Members.
