The dissertation deals with the notion of "conceptual style". The conceptual styles of the US Presidents G. Bush the Junior and B. Obama have been analyzed on the basis of an anthropocentric paradigm and cognitive-discourse approach. The peculiarities of verbalization of basic concepts, such as FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY, conceptual opposition WE - THEY, in political discourse have been analyzed, as well as their dependence on the conceptual style of the speaker. The analytical style of G. Bush the Junior is characterized by higher frequency of the key lexeme and its synonyms for the concept THEY. The relational conceptual style of B. Obama is characterized by higher frequency of the key lexeme and its synonyms for the concept WE.
