Essay

The thesis is investigating the links connecting Ivan Franko with the Ukrainian choral art in respect of the biographical, artistic -creative and scientific-journalistic aspects. Having analyzed the sources of historical and theoretical musicology in connection with the issue, we may state that such investigation has not been done before. Special attention is drawn to the personal participation of Ivan Franko in the choral singing and creativity. It is also noted that his poetry, prose and dramatic works are instinct with the numerous artistic and aesthetic representations of the national choral traditions.
