Essay

The paper presents the results of calculation investigations on the determination of regularities in the influence of the breathing fatigue crack parameters on the forced flexural vibrations of elastic bodies. From the results of the performed set of calculation investigations, the regularities are established concerning the influence of the breathing crack parameters, vibration excitation characteristics, and energy dissipation in the system on the vibration diagnostic indicators for the presence of this kind of damage at the fundamental, super- and subharmonic resonances.
