Object - the processes of energy consumption and energy saving at enterprises of mechanical engineering; the aim - is scientific justification and development of methodical approaches to improvement of organizational-economic mechanism of energy saving of engineering enterprises; methods - abstract-logical, systematic, methods of detail and synthesis, system-structural, statistical and comparative, economic and statistical methods, correlation and regression analysis, graphic and graphic-analytical methods; the novelty - consists in the theoretical substantiation and development of methodological and practical recommendations on the formation of organizational-economic mechanism of energy saving in the engineering enterprises of Ukraine; results - the development of the methodological framework which can be used for improvement of organizational-economic mechanism of energy conservation at enterprises of mechanical engineering; introduced - JSC "Sveko" (reference number 18/04 from 18.04.2016), LLC "ADIZES" (reference number 18 from 27.04.2016), Institute of problems of mechanical engineering named after A.M. Podgorny of NAS of Ukraine (reference number 52/289 from 10.05.2016), in the educational process of Kharkiv national University of radio electronics (reference number 5 of 20.04.2016).
