Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of regularities of interaction of the nanosized silicon carbide with iron oxide and sintered iron oxide concentrate (SIOC), leading to the full restoration of the iron oxide and forming fine powder product containing secondary silicon carbide, silicide, iron carbide, silicon oxide and oxynitride phase. It was found the conditions of synthesizing secondary SiC with low lattice parameter, which arise due to changes in partial pressures of CO and SiO that formed in the recovery of iron oxide. It was established an effect of dispersion and strain hardening metal composites formed by alloying powdered iron using fine powder product synthesized in the SiC - Fe2O3 and SiC - SIOC systems as ligature. The resulting metal composites based on iron are characterized by strength to 1790 MPa through the realization of structure of nanosized pearlite (ferrite + iron carbide). Conditions of forming composite ceramics based on alumina with synthesized fine powder product by pressureless sintering, what characterized by high of the grain strength (up to 4,49 N) have been found.
