The essence and peculiarities of farming operations as a type of entrepreneurship and a type conducting business in the system of agrarian production have been considered in the Dissertation Thesis. The essence of farm labor potential has been detected and its role in the formation of social and economic efficiency of the farm operations has been presented. The system of factors that form the farm labor potential has been studied. The tendencies in the development of farms in Lviv region have been regarded. The peculiarities of demographic environment in rural areas as a basis for the formation of labor potential have been studied. The use of labor potential on farms has been analyzed. The influence of main factors on the labor potential formation and development has been determined. The forecast of parameters for the development of farm labor potential under the existing tendencies and under the condition of the change of the agricultural model has been made. The issues concerning the improvement of the formation and use of the farm labor potential have been worked out. The ways and principles for the improvement of social and labor relations on farms have been grounded.
