The thesis is devoted to the research of the processes taking place in the modern domestic chamber-vocal art, through the comprehension of chamber-vocal music as a single artistic and creative system of composer's and performing thought in the context of historical sources, the ways of its development and style characteristics in European composer's practice. Author's definition of chamber singing is formulated as an performing presentation of a voice demanding from the performer special qualities that allow most accurately reproduce the gradations of sound expression, internal psychology and distinct dramaturgy (concentrated or dispersed) of chamber-vocal works.
