Essay

The matrix positioning model of tourist areas on the basis of factor analysis of principal components has been worked out. This model has been used for evaluating of the competitive position of local tourism market in Western Ukraine. Structural and functional model of tourism cluster area as a system of vertical and horizontal linkages that occur between subjects that due to their purpose belong to the same group - producers, agents, assistants, managers, the combined effect of which is aimed at maximum consumer’ satisfaction has been improved. The problems of tourist areas in Western Ukraine have been researched. It has given an opportunity to highlight the most problematic aspects of the competitiveness of local tourism market for building management mechanisms.
