Essay

Thesis devoted to the variability of human influenza viruses isolated in Ukraine from 2012 to 2015 years for the antigenic and genetic characteristics and based on phylogenetic comparison. The paper contains a detailed etiologic structure of influenza viruses population during investigated seasons and compared with etiological structure of the European countries and in the world. Based on the analysis of amino acid sequences of genes HA and NA influenza viruses in 2012-2015 years were observed the amino acid substitutions unique to influenza viruses which circulated in Ukraine. Author also identified mutations that were different from viruses that have been circulating in the world. As a result of this analysis has been allowed to detect the diversity of circulating influenza viruses belonging to different genetic clusters during the observation period. The findings of this work - were investigated the variability of influenza viruses for antigenic and genetic characteristics, their heterogeneity, allowing in the future to improve the etiological prediction of the next influenza epidemics and dominant agent in the country.
