Essay

Research subject: PAR accompanied by helminthism, PAR without helminthism. Purpose: Increasing the efficiency of medical treatment and immunodiagnostics for the patients with the perennial allergic rhinitis and helminthism, and development of complex (allergen-specific, immunomodulatory, and antihelminthic) therapy. Research methodology: general clinical, allergological, immunological, and statistical methods. Equipment: microscope, centrifuge, ImmunoCAP-100, FACSCalibur flow cytofluriometer, "Chromatographer-500 No.27", and an immunoenzymometric analyzer. It is for the first time that we studied the clinical and immunological changes depending on a stage of the lifecycle of nematodes (ascrids and toxocaras) and their influence on the flow of an allergic inflammation during the perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) as a co-morbid condition. It has been evidenced that helminthism has a pseudoallergic impact on the PAR flow thru the histamine and diaminoxidase contents in blood serum. It is for the first time that a molecular allergodiagnostics method is suggested for the purposes of detection of the components of specific antigens. It has been found out that the clinical specifics of the PAR flow are dependent on the parasitism stage of helminthes. We have developed a complex treatment tactics, which includes the application of basic intranasal, antihelminthic, immunomodulatory, and allergen-specific immunotherapy against the major components of domestic allergens. Scope of application: Medical profession (immunology, allergology, and infectology).
