Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of geochemical characteristics of surface and bottom sediments, vegetation, natural water areas of Irshansk and Stremigorod deposits of titanium. New data on the distribution of chemical elements (Mn, Cr, Ni, Zn, Pb, Ti etc.), defined by their background and anomalous content found geochemical associations. Also geochemical ratios was calculated and levels of pollution set. Determined that the "tails" enrichment metals have the lowest pаrt of mobility, due to the presence of fine particles, which serve as a barrier sorption. As a result of biochemical tests (birch leaves, needles of pine and moss) found that birch leaves and needles of pine most rapidly accumulate Mn (element whose content in soils maximum), while the moss absorbs Pb, Cu (6 times more than others plants). For the first time in an integrated analysis of geochemical and surface sediments, vegetation, natural waters found that there is acceptable and moderately dangerous values of contamination near Irshansk and Stremigorod deposits of titanium. GIS technology built-map pattern was used to describe the trace elements distribution in environmental objects and areas of Irshansk and Stremigorod deposits of titanium.
