Essay

Unlike traditional screen printing pastes based on micron powders, the plasticized pastes based on barium titanate nanopowder have complex character of flow with shear thickening phenomenon at the low shear stresses. According to hydrodynamic approach to the pastes shearing it was established that the character of flow determines pastes printability. It is shown that transition from rheopexy to thixotropy without pseudoplasticity causes formation of prints with thickness about 0.7 - 0.9 µm and surface roughness Ra = 15 - 20 nm by screen printing.
