Essay

The thesis studied the formation of the structure, phase composition and properties of functional materials based on nanosized Fe3O4 and ZrO2 during synthesis and spark plasma sintering (SPS). As a result, ferrimagnetic magnetite-chitosan nanostructures with different morphologies were obtained. The technology to obtain by SPS materials for fuel cells was proposed. The porous cermets, in particular, with an improved compatibility to the electrolyte were in situ obtained as well. The effect of the structure on the mechanical properties was studied and Y-TZP-based ceramics with high fracture toughness were fabricated by SPS.
