Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of a method of joint inversion of seismic and gravity data using simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique. The method of gravity data inversion using simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique and the method of joint seismic and gravity data inversion using simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique are defended. During the dissertational research, new methodological approach for joint inversion of geophysical data using petrophysical parameters modeling was developed; seismic tomography method was improved in order to process huge amount of seismic data; the method of gravity data inversion and the method of joint seismic and gravity data inversion based on simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique (SIRT) was developed; block system of linear algebraic equations that allows to perform joint seismic and gravity tomographic inversion based on compressional wave slowness was introduced. Sufficient algorithms and software have been developed based on introduced methods. The method was tested on observed and synthetic data. The results of such tests proved that the method could be used for solving scientific and practical problems in oil and gas industry as well as in engineering.
