Kratsylo S. Profiling of the concept MARRIAGE in English language.

It has been established that MARRIAGE is a ritual concept, located within the social conceptual field ‘private sphere of human life’ and the conceptual sphere ‘human’. It has been proven that six groups of phraseological units actualize the lexemes-members of the conceptual field under analysis. It has been established that pre-marriage (meeting, sympathy, courtship and engagement) and marriage (marriage ceremony, daily marital life, in some cases divorce) phases constitute two key stages of the script. It has been discovered that proverbs containing the concept MARRIAGE are classified within 18 themes, 57 logemes (logical phrases) and 7 sub-logemes.
