Object: the process of ensuring food security in the national economy. Purpose: substantiation of theoretical and methodical provisions and development of practical recommendations on formation of organizational-economic mechanism of food security of Ukraine. Methods: abstract-logical, theoretical-deductive and empirical studies, system analysis and synthesis, economic-statistical, mathematical modeling, graphic. It is offered: it is improved: theoretical and methodological approach to the definition of "organizational-economic mechanism of food security of the national economy"; the conceptual approach to the definition of the nature and processes of formation of organizational-economic mechanism of food security socio-economic system at the national level; scientific and methodical approach to assessing the impact of organizational-economic mechanism of food security; theoretical and methodological model for assessing the level of food security; theoretical approaches to defining the system of evaluation of national food security; gathered subsequent development: a methodical approach to determination of directions of perfection of organizational-economic mechanism of food security, the interpretation of the contents of the definition of "food security", the scientific-methodical approach to improvement of organizational-economic mechanism of food security.
