Essay

The thesis is devoted to violin music of Stankovych (b. 1942) - one of the leading contemporary artists of Ukraine, the leader of national school of composers in turn of XX - XXI centuries. Based on the analysis of nine violin works of different periods and variety of diverse genre affiliation we can trace some common patterns of individual composing style of Y. Stankovych, his affiliations with current artistic trends of modern Ukrainian music are established.In the center of genre studies problematic is a special character of symphonic instrumental thinking expression of Y. Stankovych that freely overcomes external genre-compositional limitations and creates opportunities for conflicting images embodiment of modern art nature while maintaining tribal affiliation to lyric-dramatic symphonic style. Powerful potential of primary thematic complexes core development takes place within one-part compositions which is author's version of the chain shape.
