Essay

Forms and methods of religious policy of local institutions regarding religion and the Church at the regional level are examined on the basis of archival sources and historiography available. This policy was marked by the systemic violations in the sphere of law, especially in the first decade of independence, as it led to conflicts and complications in social life in general and in the Church life in particular, and witnessed to a qualitatively new level of the religious sphere development strategies, as it sought to rely on the imperative of tolerance.
