Objekt: a novel "With Fire and Sword" by G.Senkevich and trilogy "Bogdan Khmelnytsky" by M.Starytsky. Aim: to study the specifics of Genrik Senkevich's novel and Mykhailo Starytsky's trilogy in typology, contact and genetic aspects. Methods: comparative-typological, cultural-historical, aesthetic-philological, biographical. Scientific novelty: the genetic and typological comparison of the historical novels by Genrik Senkevich and Mykhailo Starytsky on the form-semantic level is realized in national literary science for the first time. The problem of aspects of the Ukrainian and Polish relations in the 19th century are defined. Approved in 18 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
