Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of psychological characteristics of the mastering behavior of adolescents with intellectual disabilities in the context of its psychological determinants. The main theoretical approaches to the rationale of the specific intellectual disabilities and their influence on the formation of the mastering behavior and identity formation of adolescents are identified in the work. The model of the psychological features for the mastering behavior of adolescents with intellectual disabilities was developed. The parameters (differential evaluation of life situations, anxiety, aggression, strong-willed personality organization), criteria (criteria of content and the estimation of the correspondence to the life situation, the criteria of display behavior in life situations), types (constructive, destructive, confused, exaggerated, reactive) were identified. The technology of the mastering behavior of the adolescent was developed. The essence of the correction of destructive mastering behavior was discovered, such as: gaining experience in solving complicated situations, analyze of own psychological factors (thoughts, feelings, behavior patterns), the ability of independent, informed choice, the use of effective strategies of the mastering behavior. It is proved that the psychological characteristics of the mastering behavior of adolescents with intellectual disabilities is determined by the dominant complex life situations; strategies for solving difficult life situations; specific dominant strategies of personal spheres; specific physical aggression, verbal aggression, aggression avoidance and guilt.
