The thesis presents a comprehensive view of the topic of participation of the defender in the implementation of due-process rights of the suspect (accused) in criminal proceedings on the basis of analysis of scientific sources, domestic and foreign legislation and legislative review. For the purpose of achievement reliability and reasonableness of the obtained results, general philosophical, general and special scientific methods were used. A legal nature of participation of the defender in criminal proceedings as well as participation of the defender in the formation of adversarial criminal proceedings was analyzed and determined.
