Savina O. Clinical and epidemiological study of measures of early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital and hereditary eye diseases in children in Ukraine

The thesis presents a new theoretical generalized results of research, that resolve an actual problem - study of measures of early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital and hereditary eye diseases in children in Ukraine. Found, that during 2005-2014 the prevalence and incidence of diseases of the eye and his adnexa among Ukrainian children increased, disability due to their decreased. Defined areas of high and low risk of this diseases. Proved, that congenital and hereditary eye diseases prevalent among blind and visually impaired children. Find the features of nosological and genetic structure, the clinical course of this diseases among residents of villages and the metropolis, including boarding students for blind and visually impaired, neuropsychiatric boarding. Found the value of medical and social factors in the prevention of the birth of children with hereditary blindness and visually impaired, proposed methodology for influence on subsequent reproductive behavior of its carriers. Substantiated optimal timing of screening, developed an action algorithm of ophthalmologist in case of suspicion of the presence of this disease in children.
