The object of research - the state of the autonomic nervous system in rheumatoid arthritis (RA); the purpose - to improve the quality of early diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with RA, to establish new pathogenesis of the disease; methods - clinical, roentgenologic, ultrasonic, electrophysiological, imune-bio-chemical, immunoferment, physical, chemical, atomic emissive and atomic-absorptive-spectrometric, statistical; innovation and results - was first determined the frequency and nature of autonomic dysfunction in patients with different course of RA, proven the relationship of severity of autonomic disorders, heart rate variability parameters, symphato-vagal index of indicators of activity, severity, rate of RA progression, its roentgenologic stages, severity of periarticular tissue lesions and systemic manifestations with the disease seropositivity, the correlations of autonomic tone (vagotonia, sympatotonia, eytonia) with a degree of activity, stage of disease and rate of progression of joint pathological process, was first demonstrated the relationship of autonomic disorders with the presence of osteoporosis, bone density indicators and the levels of bone metabolism markers, also with changes of surface adsorption-rheological properties of blood, was found an association of immunosuppressive drug therapy efficiency to the presence of autonomic dysfunction and "vegetative passport" of patients, proposed and clinically proved methodology of individualy-optimal magnetic theraphy considering "vegetative passport" of patients with RA, which has improved the results of the traditional use of a magnetic field of low frequency and the effectiveness of medical pathogenetic treatment, developed prognostic criteria for the disease and the effectiveness of remedial measures; implemented - in practice of the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Donetsk National Medical University of MOH of Ukraine (Lyman), the sanatorium "Slovyansky Ukrprofozdorovnytsia" (Slovyansk), sanatorium "Medical Rehabilitation Center for railwaymen" (Khmilnyk), in therapeutic clinical departments of 11th hospital (Kyiv), central city clinical hospital (Slovyansk), Kramatorsk 1st polyclinic, Kharkiv 24th polyclinic, Volyn regional hospital for war veterans (Lutsk), also in a pedagogical process of Donetsk National Medical University, Vinnitsa National Medical University of M.I.Pirogov, state higher educational institution "Ternopil State Medical University of I.Y.Horbachevsky", Eastern European National University of L.Ukrainka (Lutsk), Kharkiv National University of V.N.Karazin; sphere of use - medical and diagnostic process for rheumatologic, therapeutic, physical therapy departments, health and rehabilitation institutions, scientific and pedagogical processes of therapeutic profile medical schools.
