Yermakova N. Semasiological Parameters of Substantive Eurysemy in English

This dissertation is a complex analysis of semasiological parameters of substantive eurysemy in English. Received the results of the research are the following: eurysemy is a special mechanism of categorization and concretization of the referents of extralinguistic reality which distinguishes this lexico-semantic phenomenon from polysemy and monosemy. The eurysemes have different degrees of referential correlation (high, average, low) which are distinguished on the basis of referential types. The derivatives of the eurysemes as phraseological units possess their own peculiarities asto functioning considering the degrees of their referential correlation.
