The complex philosophical and legal analysis is carried out and the theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of unlawful behavior and the causes of its origin, are systematized. The achievements of European philosophical and legal thought on the nature of "unlawful behavior" concept are summarized. Conceptual and terminological apparatus is clarified and legal basis of the analysis of this phenomenon in legal systems of different countries is studied. Macro- and microenvironmental determinants of unlawful behavior manifestations forming are characterized.
