Essay

A retrospective study of prevalence of hematological complications in 440 patients, prospective study of the efficacy of antioxidant therapy in 110 women with breast cancer during chemotherapy has been conducted. The influence of neutropenia on the results systemic treatment, survival rates of patients has been investigated. The study of the influence of antioxidant Thiotriazolin on hematological toxicity during chemotherapy has been conducted. Efficiency of Thiotriazolin as protector of leucopenia development was proven by the clinical data and data of biochemical studies of related systems of oxidative stress and antioxidant protection. The factors that firmly affect the possibility of leocopenia development during chemotherapy have been determined. The algorithm for prediction of individual risk of hematologic toxicity during systemic therapy for breast cancer based on the level of thiol groups of patient was created.
