Veremchuk E. Lexico-Semantic Field SPACE in the English Language: Linguo-Cognitive and Linguo-Synergetic Approach

The scientific research is dedicated to the complex study of the lexico-semantic field SPACE in the English language from the linguo-cognitive and linguo-synergetic perspective. The spherical model of the hierarchical organization of the field was delineated. The paper depicts the ways of the field adaptation to the communicative needs of the speakers, characterizes its mechanisms, lingual and extralingual factors, which influence the process of its self-organisation and self-regulation, focuses on the potential attractors and repellers of its development. It was inferred that the main ways of field evolution are borrowing (endolingual and exolingual) and verbal creation.
