Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of transcription in the Ukrainian cymbalom art in the unity of historical and theoretical aspects. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter involves a review of the literature related to the selected topic, the role of the most significant theoretical provisions for constructing the dissertation concept was revealed. In the second chapter the prerequisites for the emergence and further processes of the formation and development of cymbalom transcription in Ukraine are considered, their features at each historical stage were identified. The study shows a periodization of the transcription process and its development in Ukrainian cymbalom art during the second half of the twentieth - the first decades of the 21st century, namely: 1940-1970s. (genre formation stage of genre formation, the origin of transcriptions - the author's editions of the works of musical classics created by A. Nezovibat'ko), the 1980s - the first half of the 1990s (the stage of stabilization of the genre, enrichment of its typological varieties, the appearance of transcriptions of the concert plan, especially transcriptions - author's D. Popichuk's editions), the second half of the 1990s - the beginning of the 21st century (an active stage in the development of the genre associated with its modification - the emergence of transcriptions-free of T. Baran's). The peculiarities of the sound image of modern cymbalom, which are considered as a combination of acoustic (sonor-color) and technical capabilities of the instrument, disclosed in the context of transcriptor creativity. An original systematization of the repertoire for the cymbalom is proposed.
