The research is devoted to topical issue of formation the profiled-oriented holistic educational space a general secondary institution, which is defined as a basis for competence, personal-oriented educational system formation. The essence of the holistic profiled-oriented educational space of a school as a pedagogical, socio-cultural phenomenon is grounded; the structural-functional model of formation of profiled-oriented holistic educational space is developed and scientifically substantiated, criteria and indicators of quality determining the level of educational space are identified. A complex of organisational and didactic conditions is defined; based on them methodical recommendations, which can be used in the profiled schools to provide the conceptual, systematic, content-technological support to the development the profiled based educational space of a school are structured.
