Dissertation is dedicated to increasing of the effectiveness of the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis. On the basis of clinical and laboratory studies have confirmed the effectiveness of the photoactivated disinfection step time root canal obturation for the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis. It was established effective combination "povidone-iodine + ? 810 nm", which was included in the minutes of the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis. Application of the complex method of treatment in addition to the standard endodontic treatment allowed to influe on the infected root canal system and periapical focus of destruction. In the clinic it was investigated and implemented the method of the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis, which includes the photoactivated disinfection before temporary obturation of root canals and showed it high efficiency.
