Essay

The thesis is devoted to the treatment of patients with mandibular fractures in the mental area. In the thesis, the features of the phylo-, ontogenetic development, anatomical structure of the chin were studied and "the proper chin bone" was shown at different terms of fetus formation. A model of standardized mandibular fracture was created, the morphological differences between different mandible fractures were studied in the experiment. With the help of morphometric criteria, the process of bone healing after a fracture at different terms was shown. A complex method of treatment of mandibular fractures in the mental area, which includes surgical intervention, medical treatment and specified terms of immobilization, was proposed.
