The dissertation is devoted to research of theoretical and applied problems of organisation of pre-judicial investigation of evasion from payment of taxes, duties (obligatory payments) in the conditions of action of the new Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine. Elements of criminalistic characteristics which includes modus operandi, identity of the criminal, "investigative picture" are analysed. Performed analysis gave a chance to allocate signs of criminal activity inherent to evasion from payment of taxes, duties (obligatory payments) which have important criminalistic value.
