Duda O. Clinical and laboratory evaluation of the effectiveness of prevention and treatment of diseases of periodontal tissues in children with somatic diseases.

The thesis presents the theoretical generalization and new solution of actual problems of modern dentistry - effectiveness of primary prevention and treatment of periodontal tissues in children with somatic diseases through clinical and laboratory studies prescribing for immunomodulation. To achieve the goals and objectives were fulfilled clinical, immunological, statistical methods of research. In a clinical survey of 110 children, a direct link to the intensity and prevalence of diseases of periodontal tissues in children with somatic diseases. In-depth clinical examination of 90 children who were under medical supervision of specialists of pediatric specialization, features development and progression of periodontal tissues in children with diseases of respiratory organs and digestion. The violations indicate an imbalance in the cytokine system regulation in children with ITP and concomitant physical illness that is manifested by the considerable predominance of proinflammatory cytokines in the serum, especially TNF-alfa Il-6 on anti-inflammatory level, as evidenced by the decrease in the content of Il-10. In connection with the presence of children's somatic pathology, prevention and treatment of diseases of periodontal tissues is advantageously carried out in collaboration with the specialist of general pathology. We have developed a scheme for the prevention and treatment of diseases of periodontal tissues in children with diseases of digestive organs, respiratory organs, which takes into account the immune system of the child at the time of treatment and preventive measures, if necessary, the correction of the violations immunomodulirutee drug, specifies the relationship between the pediatric specialist and dentist when performing dental prophylaxis. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme was evaluated after 24 months. Given the positive results can recommend to a clearly formulated practical recommendations, taking into account dental and somatic pathology, for wide application in clinical practice.
