Zhang K. Modern opera theater as an artistic phenomenon and category of musicological discourse

The dissertation defines the constitutional features and creative and practical features of the modern opera theater as a socio-aesthetic and artistic-typological phenomenon, an integral interpretive model of the opera theater is formed as the basis of modern opera creative practice and the realization of the artistic and aesthetic concepts of the opera. The definition of modern opera theater is proposed; general interdisciplinary discursive priorities and musicological principles of studying creative opera and theatrical practice are revealed.The theoretical prerequisites for studying the interrelationship between the phenomena of theater and opera are determined, and the main historical conditions for the formation of the opera theater and the genre form of the opera are revealed.
