Bilous O. Conventions of International Labour Organization as Sources of Labour Law in Ukraine.

The dissertation is the first special complex research of the role of ILO conventions as sources of labor law of Ukraine. The concept and peculiarities of the modern international legal regulation of labor relations were defined. The main goals and tasks of the ILO at the beginning of the XXI century were researched. The role of the ILO as the subject of the modern international legal regulation of labor relations and the effectiveness of its legislative activity under the conditions of the globalizing world economy were investigated. The legal nature of ILO Conventions was characterized. The place of the acts of ILO in the system of sources of labor law of Ukraine, their relationship with other acts of national labor legislation were identified. Peculiarities of application of ILO Conventions as sources of labor law of Ukraine in the national legal practice were examined. The content of fundamental ILO conventions and their importance for the development of national labor legislation were characterized. Scientifically based proposals regarding introduction of amendments to the acts of current labor legislation, the draft Labor Code of Ukraine, with the aim to adapt them to the international labor standards, embodied in the fundamental and other conventions of the ILO, were formulated.
