Essay

The thesis focuses on problem solving regarding efficacy improvement in diagnostics of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in patients with stable angina. It is based on investigation of clinical peculiarities, lipid blood spectrum, leptin and aminotransferase levels, data of liver ultrasonography and results of 13С-metacetine breath test as well as treatment optimization of combined pathology by administration of combined therapy including 20 mg per day of atorvastatin and 15 mg/kg/per day of ursodeoxycholic acid depending on functional condition of the liver. Clinical and pathological peculiarities of a combined course of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in patients with stable angina have been studied in complex. Criteria for differentiation between steatosis and steatohepatitis as clinical forms of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in patients with stable angina have been specified. Indices of functional condition of the liver in patients with stable angina and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease depending on the gender have been studied. A significant decrease in indices of functional condition of the liver has been observed, in particular, metabolic rate and cumulative dose on the 40th minute by the results of 13С-metacetine breath test after administration of 40 mg of atorvastatin per day in patients with stable angina and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. A positive influence of atorvastatin on reduction of leptin level in patients with combined pathology has been determined. Addition of ursodeoxycholic acid to complex therapy of patients with the combined pathology in deterioration of indices of functional condition of the liver has been substantiated pathogenically.
