Pekhenko V. Optimization of pathogenetic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis combined with hypertension

The thesis is devoted to solving the problem of pathogenesis-based treatment optimization of rheumatoid arthritis, combined with hypertension; basing such treatment on improving of the diagnostics by examining the status and role of systemic inflammatory response indicators, the content of nitric oxide and lipid peroxidation parameters, the immunological reactivity of the organism, the functional activity of phagocytosed cells, the activity of the humoral link of immunity. It has been established that the use of the infliximab biopharmaceutical in combination with methotrexate improves the treatment efficacy of patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis combined with hypertension, through optimization of the content of pro, anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor cytokines achieving a significant corrective effect on the performance of immunocompetent cells; reducing the intensity of the inflammatory reaction; suppressing the formation of nitric oxide, reducing the intensity of free radical oxidation of lipids, facilitating the reduction of pain syndrome, stiffness, thus improving the quality of life of patients.
