The dissertation investigates the issues of procedural activities of the investigator to ensure redress for harm caused by the criminal offence. Reveals the state of scientific research procedure to ensure redress for harm caused by the criminal offence, the peculiarities of the procedural order of such compensation and powers of an investigator in it. Formulated the concept and system of measures to provide compensation for harm caused by the criminal offence, the features of temporary access to things and documents, temporary seizure and seizure of property and other measures to ensure compensation for damage caused by a criminal offence. Found features use of the results of investigative (search) and covert investigative (search) actions with the purpose of providing compensation for damage caused by criminal offence, as well as the interaction of the investigator with the employees operational and other units to search the property of a suspect.
