Zhou H. Improving the reliability of power pumps by method reducing flow and pressure fluctuations at pipeline systems.

Research aim: studying methods of reducing pressure fluctuations at high pressure pumps' pressure lines, choice, calculation and testing of damping devices for pressure fluctuations reduction to a predetermined limit, as well as control and prevention of the high-pressure pumps' failure mode. In accordance with the intended purpose analyzed are the conditions for the pumps failure phenomena occurrence when pumping saturated and boiling environments, studied are the pressure fluctuation levels and methods to reduce those fluctuations. Effected is an analytical study of the high-pressure pumps' operating modes, in particular resonance modes, as well as analytical and experimental study of different types of devices to reduce pressure fluctuations in the pump.
