Essay

This dissertation is devoted to researching the origins and intonation parts of the Ukrainian song variety art (1970 - 2010). We have regarded and systematized the question on research methodology of the song as a musical and genre phenomenon, its functioning in the variety and mass culture. For the first time in the domestic music science we have developed criteria and offered the classification for the genre styles in the variety-song creation, defined its intonation ingredients and the basic parts which acquire the meaning of the constants in the birth and further evolution of the genre (academic soloing, Gypsy romantic song, vocal jazz, chanson, bard's song).
