The work is devoted to scientific analysis of the fairness principle in social security law. The philosophical legal view of the category of fairness in social security is formed. The decisive role of the fairness principle in social security is proved. The essence of the fairness principle is defined. The interaction of fairness has been analysed with other fundamental law principles and their impact on principles industry of social security. A concept of the author and recovery mechanisms for implementing the fairness principle in social security as complex phenomena, which stands out economic, organizational and legal elements has been formed. We characterize the role of the legislative, executive and judiciary, local government entities and social dialogue in the implementation of the fairness principle in social security. The features of the principle of equity in the pension system and social services have been discovered. The results of theoretical research are the propositions to improve the regulation of the fairness principle in social security.
